Kingston

It took us a while to find our accommodation. It's in a short, dead end street and we are in #15. The place next door is #11 and on the other side of that is #9. I don't why there's no #13! #superstition We are on the corner so there's no #17 and the bloke working on his car across the road was useless.

We didn't have a photo of the outside, only the inside. We now know why! But the inside is very nice. The owner is unable to greet us and the keys are hidden in the garden.

Some suggestions have been left inside about a nearby supermarket and a place called The Pub. But no directions on how to get there. Across the road in a side street sits a security guard. Many of the properties are 'gated'......that's a good sign?? He's able to give us directions to the supermarket so off we go to get some supplies.

The owner of the accommodation has told Heather not to venture out after 6.30/7.00pm. A friendly young barman in a place we found confirmed this view. High murder rate.....think we'll eat in.

Next day, we now have our bearings. Off to buy our bus tickets to Ocho Rios on Saturday. After buying our bus tickets we visit Emancipation Park and Devon House, where we take a tour of the house and have lunch. The house was built in the 1880s by the first Jamaican millionaire.
